IT Cloud Security Engineer
to join a high-performing technology team on a
12-month contract . This role is perfect for a security-focused professional passionate about protecting cloud environments and enabling secure, scalable cloud adoption.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement secure cloud solutions aligned with enterprise cloud strategy
Embed security best practices into cloud architecture, development, and deployment processes
Develop and maintain secure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
Monitor, assess, and enhance cloud security posture across platforms
Ensure compliance with security standards, policies, and frameworks
Conduct security reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments
Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams to integrate security across the SDLC
Participate in architecture reviews, design discussions, and Agile ceremonies
Technical Expertise Required:
Hands‑on experience with
AWS, Azure, or GCP
Deep knowledge of
cloud security tools
(Azure Policy, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel)
Experience with
cloud security frameworks
(e.g., Azure Cloud Adoption Framework - CAF)
Strong understanding of
identity and access management (IAM)
Experience with
Terraform
(Enterprise, Sentinel, Private Module Registry)
Experience with
CI/CD pipelines
(Maven, Jenkins) with a security-first approach
Proficiency xcfaprz in
Java, Python, or Go
Experience with
container security
(Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
Familiarity with
automation and configuration tools
(Ansible, Puppet, CloudFormation, Salt)
Strong knowledge of
Linux/UNIX systems, web protocols, and distributed systems
Nice to Have:
Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security Specialty / Architect)
Experience in securing enterprise‑scale cloud environments
