Overview Job Summary
Plan and manage small to mid-size multi-functional product development projects.
The position requires strong, enthusiastic leadership skills in a highly technical medical instrument product development environment.
The position requires regular interaction with all functions and levels of the organization from R&D scientists and engineers, marketing/sales, quality/regulatory, and operations, through executive management.
Directs the program team and project team(s) in a manner to achieve the business results expected. Seeks guidance on unusual and complex problems whose solution exceeds the approved project or program boundaries.
Authority of position is that required to carry out assigned duties, except where expressly reserved by the senior management personnel or Werfen Corporate/Division Policy.
Responsibilities Key Accountabilities
Lead team scrums to define product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities, and communicate with stakeholders throughout the project
Collaborate with internal and external contacts to analyze needs and align product roadmap to strategic goals
Work closely with product managers and business teams to create and maintain product backlog according to business value or ROI
Remain up to date on trends and best practices for agile project management
Plan and prioritize product development and product feature backlog
Develop detailed product feature specifications and ensure they’re clearly understood by relevant teams
Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work aligns with product strategy
Mitigate roadblocks to achieving sprint/release goals
Lead the product-release plans and set expectations for delivery of new functionalities
Serve as product ambassador internally and externally, sharing knowledge and answering questions
Networking/Key relationships
To be determined based on department and project needs, to include interactions such as:
Coordination with the Barcelona Data Group, Werfen IT
Communication of plans and status of projects with R&D, Quality and Operations disciplines
Coordination of review of documentation with Quality and Regulatory disciplines
Qualifications Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:
BS in STEM field (engineering, chemistry, physics, etc.)
8 years of relevant work experience, within the healthcare industry preferred
3+ years of relevant work experience with agile and scrum, preferred
Certification in project management or program management is preferred

Less than 15% of the time.
The annual base salary range for this role is currently $140,000 to $170,000. Individual employee compensation will ultimately depend on factors including education, relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, and particular business needs.
This role is eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k plan retirement benefits with an employer match, as well as paid vacation and sick leave. Our sales roles are eligible for participation in a commission plan and our management, and select professional roles, are eligible for a performance-based bonus.
