This is a remote position.
Pay Transparency:
The starting base salary range for a Sr. Sales Performance Analyst is $67,000 to $100,000. Final compensation is determined by geographic location and a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience, skills, competencies, and internal equity. In addition to base compensation, the position is eligible for an annual incentive plan based on company and individual performance.
Sr. Sales Performance Analyst Overview
The Sr. Sales Performance Analyst acts as a Subject Matter Expert and drives data-driven decision making through advanced analytics and reporting. This role will focus on developing and automating complex reports and dashboards, with a strong emphasis on Power BI and processes to transform, clean, and automate reports. The Senior Sales Performance Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring data integrity, performing data modeling and analysis to support Leadership and serves as point of escalation and resolution between the customer and Partner Management. Additionally, the role provides critical input and analysis for corporate projects and initiatives focused on revenue growth.
Essential Duties:
Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for report development (SQL, SSIS, SSRS) and supports best practices/standards for repeatable reporting
Creates and maintains reporting queries, new business reporting applications and databases used to query ad-hoc reports
Creates complex reports and dashboards used for sales analysis for the Company, Partners, and Affiliates with a focus on Power BI, SQL Server Management Studio, Visual Studio, and Excel.
Prepares high level new sales analysis and reports for Partners, sales, and executive management
Participates and provides critical input and analysis as related to sales and inventory for corporate projects and initiatives
Serves as SME for sales reporting by providing guidance to the Sales Performance Analyst I and II
Acts as an analytics point-of-contact for assigned partners and internal stakeholders
Owns escalation management for reporting issues: documents root cause, coordinates corrective actions, communicates status/ETAs, and validates fixes through reconciliation and controls
Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong functional knowledge of SQL Server Management Studio and Visual Studio
Strong functional knowledge of Power BI, including report development, dashboard creation, and data transformation, cleansing, and shaping processes within Power BI
Strong functional knowledge of Excel specific to creating complex formulas utilizing functions such as VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, and Pivot Tables
Proficiency in Microsoft Teams required for communication and collaboration in a remote work environment
Ability to work in a remote team environment
Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
Excellent organizational, detail orientation, and time management skills
Ability to handle confidential information
Ability to multitask and perform under deadline pressure in a changing environment
Ability to question discrepancies and make recommendations
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, related field, or equivalent related experience
3+ years relevant work experience specializing in report development using SQL
3+ years relevant work experience in MS Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) experience
3+ years of experience with Power BI, including report development, dashboard creation, and data transformation, cleansing, and shaping processes within Power BI (Tableau equivalent experience accepted)
3-5 years of experience using database applications
5-7 years of experience writing and/or modifying queries and expressions in MS Excel
Or, equivalent military experience
Ability to travel 5% of time
Preferred Education and Experience:
5+ years relevant work experience specializing in SQL, SSRS, and SSIS
Experience using Salesforce reporting tools
Experience using AI-enabled tools to accelerate reporting processes, automate repetitive analysis, or surface insights from structured data
Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) certification
Experience in the insurance industry, particularly in sales data analytics
Completion of LOMA courses or similar industry certifications
Hands-on experience with MS SharePoint Online for document management and collaboration
