Mechanical Design Engineer - Limerick - Hybrid

Location: Limerick City (3 days WFH) – Will move to fully remote

The successful candidate will be involved in the design and delivery of mechanical building services systems, working as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside electrical engineers, civil/structural teams and project managers. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality designs from concept through to construction and handover.

• Design mechanical building services systems including HVAC, heating, ventilation and public health systems
  
• Prepare mechanical calculations, specifications, schedules and technical documentation
  
• Produce drawings and layouts using AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM)
  
• Coordinate designs with electrical engineers and other disciplines
  
• Assist with site inspections, surveys and technical support during construction
  
• Respond to contractor queries and support issue resolution on site
  
• Assist with tender documentation, technical submissions and design reviews
  
• Maintain project documentation in line with ISO quality standards
  
• Support commissioning and project handover processes
  

• 
  
• Degree qualified in Building Services Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  
• 3–5 years’ experience in a similar mechanical design role
  
• Strong technical understanding of building services systems
  
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM)
  
• Proven experience across technical submittals, commissioning and handover
  
• Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
  
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Project)
