Decision Advantage Business Area , Office of Technology, is actively seeking a talented
Lead Solutions Architect
who will spearhead innovative solutions to tackle the rapidly evolving threats and dynamic customer needs within the
DoD
and mission partner capabilities arena. This position will be instrumental in developing and integrating advanced systems across various domains including
Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (BMC3) , cyber technology, electronic warfare, digital infrastructure, mission planning (MP), and command and control (C2) systems, with a strong focus on software-based solutions.
In this pivotal role, you will support our engagements with the
U.S. Air Force , particularly focusing on collaboration with the
Information Dominance Systems Center
and
AFLCMC/HB , to influence the Air Force's contributions to the
Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) , a groundbreaking warfighting concept designed to connect sensors and shooters on a global scale.
The ideal candidate will collaborate across the
Decision Advantage Business Area
and partner with senior leaders throughout the
Leidos enterprise , including National Security, Defense Systems, and Health & Civil sectors, to pursue, win, and execute mission-critical programs that leverage enterprise-wide capabilities.
This is a hybrid position (75% telework and 25% onsite) with preferred base locations: Reston, VA; Arlington, VA; Huntsville, AL; San Diego/La Jolla, CA; Denver/Aurora, CO; Dayton, OH; or Orlando, FL. The selected candidate is expected to travel approximately 25% of the time.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop innovative
BMC3
and related mission solutions applicable across defense and mission partner initiatives to achieve Combined/Joint All-Domain C2 objectives. This includes translating a strategic vision into an agile technology-driven execution plan, prioritizing and executing both internal and customer-funded efforts.
Contribute to the development and updates of strategies, ensuring alignment with the implementation of those strategies.
Craft solutions that are highly innovative, integrating capabilities from data integration to MP & C2 systems, spanning various stages of technology readiness and operational sustainment for national security applications.
Collaborate with technical staff and Business Development personnel to thoroughly understand customer needs and lead the development of solutions impacting strategic goals and business outcomes.
Provide technical execution leadership across a mix of customer- and internally-funded programs.
Drive cross-organization buy-in on innovative solutions that move from existing practices to acceptance of new methodologies.
Basic Qualifications:
Masters degree with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 17 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated success in a technical leadership role that translates strategic vision into actionable plans with measurable business impact.
Proficiency in developing and refining strategies that align with customer and corporate missions.
Capability to forge industry and international partnerships to address complex customer missions.
Experience working with U.S. Air Force organizations, including AFLCMC/HB.
Comprehensive understanding of BMC3 systems, JADC2, and relevant DoD concepts and frameworks.
Experience with classified command and control systems and classified customers.
Proven track record in developing innovative solutions in support of major capture and proposal efforts.
Excellent communication skills, including experience in business development and marketing initiatives.
Proficiency in creating white papers, proposals, and presentations showcasing organizational capabilities.
Active
DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance
or the ability to obtain one and eligibility for Special Access Programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with emerging technologies such as AI/ML, edge computing, and advanced analytics.
Direct involvement with JADC2 efforts, including Joint Fires Network and Overmatch.
Recent collaboration with key customers or programs, particularly related to AFLCMC/PEO digital and PEO Mission Command.
Experience architecting and delivering solutions across multiple operational domains.
Participation in the successful transition of programs from capture/proposal to execution.
Knowledge of secured data, including multi-level classified data.
While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos anticipates this job requisition will remain open for a minimum of 3 days following the original posting date. Selected candidates can expect compensation within the pay range of $148,850.00 - $269,075.00, influenced by factors such as responsibilities, education, experience, and internal equity.
