Senior Python Developer

We’re partnering with a forward-thinking investment firm to build the next generation of trading technology—and they’re looking for a Python Developer who wants to make a real impact.

If you enjoy solving complex problems, working close to the business, and building systems that directly influence investment decisions, this is the kind of role where your work truly matters.

This isn’t a “maintenance-only” role—you’ll be building and shaping critical systems used by front-office investment teams.

• 
  
• Design and develop investment decision-support services across fixed income domains
  
• Enhance and evolve portfolio management platforms (Python & Java)
  
• Collaborate directly with quants, portfolio managers, and front-office teams
  
• Build high-impact, business-critical services powering trading and analytics
  
• Contribute to the evolution of a modern, scalable trading architecture
  

We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical ability with curiosity and ownership.

• 
  
• 6+ years building enterprise-grade applications (financial services a plus, not a must)
  
• Strong skills in Python and SQL
  
• A proactive mindset—you take ownership and drive things forward
  
• Solid problem-solving skills in fast-paced, evolving environments
  
• Experience with modern development tooling (Git, Docker, CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Jira, etc.)
  

Not essential—but definitely a plus:

• 
  
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
  
• Background in Java or C++
  
• Exposure to financial market data (Bloomberg, S&P, Moody’s, ICE, etc.)
  
• Knowledge of backtesting, analytics, or investment modelling
  
• Experience supporting front-office users (Portfolio Managers, Quants)
  

• 
  
• Work on real trading systems, not just internal tools
  
• Collaborate directly with decision-makers and investors
  
• Gain exposure to fixed income markets (or deepen existing knowledge)
  
• Be part of a team building modern, scalable financial technology
