Electrical Design Engineer

An exciting opportunity has opened for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a well‑established engineering team working across Water & Wastewater Treatment projects.

If you’re a technically strong engineer with a passion for problem‑solving and delivering high‑quality design work, this role offers long‑term stability, professional development, and exposure to diverse projects.

• 
  
• Producing detailed Electrical & Instrumentation designs for water/wastewater treatment facilities
  
• Designing electrical distribution systems, general building services, and instrumentation
  
• Developing electrical panels (MCC, LCP, MDB) and automation hardware
  
• Creating cable, I/O, and power schedules
  
• Reviewing client specifications (industrial & municipal)
  
• Preparing technical submissions, procurement specs, and evaluating suppliers
  
• Liaising closely with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors
  
• Supporting FAT testing, control philosophies, and site design activities
  
• Working to Irish, European, and industry‑specific standards (IEC, WIMES, etc.)
  

• 
  
• Level 7+ qualification in Electrical Engineering
  
• Experience in the water/wastewater sector (advantageous xcfaprz but not essential)
  
• Strong technical understanding & attention to detail
  
• Excellent communication and IT skills
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  
• Highly organised with a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset

• Non‑EU/EEA nationals: must hold valid work authorisation for Ireland
