It is important to note that you must get approval from your current supervisor/manager to accept a Special Duty assignment. Summary
With a growing portfolio of property parcels and development of new technology to support our work, King County's Department of Assessments is looking for current King County employees to support this intermittent Special Duty Assignment (SDA) for our Property Tax Administration System (PTAS) development. This will include the ability to engage directly with project vendors, lead testing focus groups and serve as a liaison between accounting staff and other project stakeholders. Just like the industry leaders in our region, we are looking for action oriented creative thinkers who can multi-task and bring their technical skills and desire for excellence to this role. that clearly demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties of the position to include:
One (1) year of residential mass appraisal experience within the last five (5) years. Experience must be supplemented with:
Sixty (60) hours of real estate appraisal education
Accounting experience in one or more of the following:
Abstract
Any of the Exemption Programs

Tax Roll Creation
Prior experience or knowledge of writing functional design documents
Prior experience or knowledge of software development
Prior experience or knowledge of project management
