• Schedule: 24-hour on-call coverage blocks, 7am-7am

Clinical Details

• Coverage Type: Emergency stroke intervention and thrombectomy call
• Inpatient responsibilities only, no outpatient
• Number of Neurologists: 9
• Support Staff: Interventional Radiology team supports thrombectomy procedures and call
• EMR: EPIC
• Stroke Volume: 1,000 stroke patients annually
• Thrombectomy Volume: 165 procedures annually
• Setting: Hospital-based, stroke-focused care
• Responsibilities:
  • Provide 24-hour on-call coverage for thrombectomy cases
  • Perform emergent thrombectomy procedures for acute ischemic stroke patients
  • Respond to stroke alerts and urgent callback cases
  • Collaborate with neurology and IR teams for coordinated stroke care
  • Perform image-guided vascular procedures as appropriate
  • Manage inpatient neurovascular cases requiring intervention
  • Ensure timely and high-quality stroke intervention care
• Services Provided in the Practice:
  • Mechanical thrombectomy for stroke patients
  • Image-guided vascular interventions
  • Acute stroke response and management
  • Neurovascular emergency procedures

Requirements

• Fellowship Trained in Interventional Radiology (IR) OR Interventional Neuroradiology/Neurology (INR)
• Must be able to perform thrombectomies independently
• Active IA License
• Active DEA
• Active CSA
• Must be available for listed dates
• Clean Malpractice/Background History
• Self-Query NPDB Report pulled within 30 days at time of presentation
