This 3-year apprenticeship (Level 5) offers top-notch training within our dynamic Research & Development department at the Reading Innovation Centre. You’ll collaborate with project teams, taking ownership of real-life projects that directly impact our business. Get ready to dive into the world of science and innovation!
Our Reading Innovation Centre is home to over 200 scientists and engineers dedicated to creating innovative consumer products across various sectors, including Personal Health Care (Vicks), Oral Care (Oral-B), Grooming (Gillette), and Beauty Care (Olay). Join a friendly and diverse team with a rich history of innovation!
What to Expect:Work in regulated laboratory environments, adhering to the highest quality and safety standards.
Learn scientific techniques to measure product performance, stability, and safety, supporting the entire product cycle from innovation to launch.
Analyze data from testing, identify trends, and apply scientific methods to solve problems.
Create and formulate chemistries for grooming and beauty care routines for our top brands.
Plan and conduct laboratory-based investigations and experiments using specialized techniques.
Collaborate with stakeholders and effectively communicate scientific information.
Please Note: You’ll be on-site at our Reading R&D Centre for 4 days a week for practical learning. Your vocational learning towards a BTEC Level 5 HND will take place online one day per week, with some practical elements in Birmingham. Travel expenses to Birmingham will be covered by P&G.
What We Offer You:Comprehensive Training: Receive full training with a dedicated project supervisor and manager. Upon successful completion, you’ll earn a Level 5 HND qualification in Applied Science (Chemistry or Biology Pathway).
