For more than 100 years, people have relied on Kidde to deliver superior fire detection and suppression.About this roleThis role champions the design and implementation of Firmware/software development processes, procedures and tools across all engineering centers in Kidde Global Solutions Commercial businesses. It additionally oversees the successful implementation of processes, and tracks metrics to discover areas for improvement, document process changes and ensures implementation of process changes. The ideal candidate will provide thorough instructions and training and assess compliance with applicable safety and quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesAssess existing processes and workflowsOptimize productivity by designing and implementing new processes.Track process metrics to ensure continuous improvementProvide instructions, training and support for successful implementation of processes and process changes.Implement and configure tools, to ensure process integrity and reliabilityBasic QualificationsMasters degree+10 years of experience in firmware/software life cycle development, including process development and implementationPreferred QualificationsMasters degree in Firmware Development or Computer EngineeringExperience in both waterfall and agile development cyclesExperience in embedded firmware developmentExperience in stage gate product development processesExcellent analytical and math skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to persuade others to change existing practicesStrong attention to detailProven ability to identify, assess and solve problemsProficient with computer and information technologyKnowledge of process engineering software systemsFamiliarity with fire safety regulationsKidde Global Solutions is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
