This role is heavily focused on VMware technologies, alongside broader enterprise infrastructure management.
The role Own and resolve Level 3 escalations across server and infrastructure environments Act as the go-to VMware expert for administration, troubleshooting, and optimisation Lead infrastructure projects from design through to delivery Drive improvements in performance, stability, and security Work within ITIL frameworks, ensuring effective incident, change, and problem management Support audit and compliance requirements including ISO27001, NIST, and SOX Maintain clear documentation and enforce strong change control Skills & experience Strong VMware vSphere (v8.x preferred) experience Windows Server (2 and Active Directory (DNS, DHCP, GPO) Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and Exchange RDS, Veeam, and Dell infrastructure Monitoring tools (e.g.
OpManager, AIOps) Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, xcfaprz VPNs) Security tools and SFTP services Exposure to AWS (backup and DR) Proven L3 / senior infrastructure experience Strong troubleshooting and communication skills ITIL awareness and ability to mentor others About: Perm role (strong basic plus benefits) 3 days per week in office required
