About the team

You’ll report directly to Jonathan (CEO & Co-founder) and Ciara (Co‑founder), and work closely with the executive leadership team.

You’ll collaborate across all functions — including Finance, People, Legal, Creative, Buying & Merchandising, Sales, Customer Success, and Support — while also engaging regularly with external stakeholders such as customers, partners, investors, and board members.

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to partner closely with our CEO and Co‑founder team, and lead the business through its next phase of growth.

This is a highly strategic and hands‑on role with end‑to‑end ownership across operations, finance, revenue, people, legal, and logistics. You will play a critical role in building the systems, structures, and discipline required to scale efficiently and sustainably.

Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Board, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to leadership while driving operational excellence across the organisation.

What you'll do?
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Execution

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO, leadership team, and Board on company performance and strategic direction.
  • Co‑develop and execute the company’s operational and financial strategy.
  • Translate long‑term vision into clear, actionable plans and measurable outcomes.

Operational Excellence & Scale

  • Own and scale core business functions: operations, finance, revenue, people, legal, and logistics.
  • Build and optimise systems, processes, and infrastructure to support rapid growth.
  • Drive operational rigour and alignment across all departments.

Performance & Planning

  • Lead company‑wide planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Establish and track key metrics to measure performance and inform decision‑making.
  • Regularly assess business performance (including SWOT analysis) to guide short, medium and long‑term priorities.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high‑performing, forward‑thinking operating team.
  • Partner with leadership to prioritise resources effectively during periods of growth and transformation.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Corporate Development

  • Lead due diligence and commercial negotiations related to fundraising, partnerships, and M&A activities.

What you'll need
Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior operational, financial, or general management role within a high‑growth company.
  • Track record of scaling businesses, ideally within a marketplace, e-commerce, or SaaS environment.
  • Strong commercial and analytical mindset, with expertise in metrics, reporting, and modern data tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive both top‑line growth and operational efficiency.
  • Experience working cross‑functionally with GTM, product, and operations teams to deliver strategic outcomes.
  • Builder mentality with a hands‑on, execution‑focused approach.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and align teams around ambitious goals.
  • High emotional intelligence, humility, and a collaborative leadership style.
  • Employee Stock Option Plan (subject to Board approval).
  • Company pension.
  • 25 days annual leave + 2 company days.
  • Paid maternity and paternity leave.
  • Opportunity to help scale a fast‑growing, mission‑driven company.
