Job Title: Senior Manual Tester Location: Chicago, IL Employment Type: Contract Pay Range: $50 to $60 per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manual Tester with 7+ years of experience in functional and regression testing. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in documentation, debugging, and web service testing, along with a solid understanding of databases and service responses.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct functional, regression, and exploratory testing to ensure software quality. Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements. Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla). Perform debugging and root cause analysis in collaboration with developers. Validate web service responses (REST/SOAP APIs) and ensure correct data flow. Work with databases (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) to validate backend processes. Maintain test documentation, including test reports, logs, and defect reports. Collaborate with development, product, and business teams to ensure seamless releases. Required Skills & Experience:

7+ years of manual testing experience in web and enterprise applications. Strong understanding of functional and regression testing methodologies. Experience in API testing (understanding request-response structure, HTTP methods, and error handling). Hands-on experience with debugging tools and logs analysis. Good understanding of SQL and databases for data validation. Familiarity with test management tools like TestRail, ALM, or similar. Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

Experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, JMeter, or SoapUI). Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and test integration. Basic understanding of performance and security testing. Job Requirement
