Inside Sales Representative (Remote - Central or Eastern Region) Job Locations: US-FL-Orlando | US-IL-Chicago | US-TX-Dallas | US-GA-Atlanta | US-NY-New York City | US-NC-Charlotte Requisition ID: 2025-13628 Summary: Please note that while this role will operate remotely, it is required that the candidate resides in the Central or Eastern Region of the United States. This includes candidates residing in Central or Eastern Time Zones. Yelp was created to connect people with great local businesses. As an Account Executive, you will work directly with local businesses to help them meet their goals through Yelp’s advertising programs. You will work with small business owners via phone to customize their needs and aspirations. We succeed when we find tailored solutions for our clients to grow their business. You will educate business owners about the value of Yelp’s advertising platform, own outreach and discuss Yelp advertising solutions with local businesses across the US and Canada, and be measured by hitting and exceeding a monthly quota in a supportive virtual team environment. What you’ll do:
Educate, strategize, and discuss Yelp advertising programs through a high volume of outbound dialing to business owners. This role is 100% phone based and fast-paced.
Work one of the following schedules (in your local time): 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.; or 9:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m.
Own and manage a pipeline of clients ranging from dentists to florists to restaurant owners — all organized in our CRM (Salesforce).
Sell advertising from home on a set Monday to Friday schedule, avoiding commutes.
Become an expert in Yelp advertising solutions and provide product recommendations quickly to fit client needs, using probing questions and handling objections.
Master quick close techniques to exceed individual goals.
Navigate the qualification-to-close process to ensure customer satisfaction and upsell opportunities.
Achieve and consistently exceed monthly quotas; maintain strong work ethic and tenacity.
Track and manage daily goals to ensure results; view sales as a numbers game.
What we’re looking for in you:
Appetite for learning and the ability to turn training and feedback into action; do not take rejection personally.
Ability to multi-task across tabs, multiple screens, and video conferencing tools.
Familiarity with tools such as Google Suite and Salesforce.
Curiosity and the ability to ask questions to find answers.
Team-oriented mindset and comfortable communicating with colleagues virtually or in person.
High integrity and teamwork-oriented approach.
Determined, persuasive communicator with resilience.
Curious about people and local businesses with the ability to inspire others to see Yelp’s value.
Adaptable and able to think on your feet; embracing challenges and tough conversations as opportunities.
What it takes to succeed:
GED/HS Diploma and 2+ years of customer-facing experience OR a Bachelor's Degree.
No fear of the phone and willingness to make a high volume of outbound dials daily.
General computer and email proficiency; experience with Google Suite and Mac hardware.
A distraction-free work environment.
Open to feedback and willing to implement improvements.
Strong, engaging interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently without oversight.
Current US work authorization.
What you’ll get:
The starting base salary for this role is $37k annually.
Uncapped commission eligibility.
Average Year 1 On Target Earnings (OTE) around $50k, assuming minimum performance expectations are met.
Top performers can significantly exceed target earnings.
