We are seeking a Data Engineer to lead design and implementation of data solutions within a large, enterprise financial services organization. In this role, you will design and build scalable data solutions that power personalized customer experiences across digital platforms.
As a senior member of the team, you’ll work closely with
Product, Architecture, and Engineering leadership
to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. You’ll also play a key role in
mentoring junior engineers
, influencing technical direction, and ensuring high-quality delivery in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Core focus areas include Snowflake, PL/SQL, ETL using Informatica PowerCenter and/or SnapLogic, Python, and AWS services to deliver scalable pipelines, APIs, and cloud data platforms that support critical applications.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $53.00 to $58.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:
Build scalable and robust ETL and ELT data flows and databases across Oracle/PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and NoSQL stores.
Design, build, and maintain
scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
and data platforms supporting personalization and analytics use cases
Translate product requirements into
end-to-end technical solutions
, from ingestion through consumption
Collaborate with Product, Architecture, and cross-functional engineering teams to align solutions with enterprise standards
Develop and optimize data solutions using
Snowflake, relational, and NoSQL databases
Support
production and non-production environments
, including rapid triage and resolution of critical issues
Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices across the team
Document technical designs, data flows, and architectural decisions
Participate in
Agile/Scrum ceremonies
and contribute to continuous improvement
Experience Requirements:

Snowflake
(data modeling, performance optimization, analytics workloads)
PL/SQL
and strong SQL development
ETL/ELT tools
: Informatica PowerCenter and/or SnapLogic
Python
for data engineering and application development
Technical Environment & Experience
8+ years of experience in
database design and development
(Oracle, PostgreSQL, NoSQL such as DynamoDB or Aerospike)
6+ years of programming experience using
SQL and Python
(R is a plus)
5+ years of hands-on experience with
ETL/ELT platforms
(Informatica and/or SnapLogic)
4+ years working with
AWS services
such as S3, EC2, EMR, Lambda, Athena, and CloudFormation
3+ years of experience with
Snowflake
3+ years developing applications in
Python and Java
, including Spring Boot
Experience with
messaging and streaming technologies
(Kafka, Kinesis, SNS, SQS)
Familiarity with
CI/CD and DevOps tools
(Jenkins, Artifactory, Maven, uDeploy)
Experience with
API design
, versioning, and documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI)
Comfortable working with
code quality and coverage tools
such as Sonar
Working knowledge of
data visualization tools
(Tableau, Qlik, or Power BI)
Nice to Have
Experience with rules engines (e.g., Drools)
Background in building highly scalable distributed systems
Exposure to enterprise ALM tools (JIRA, Git, FishEye, Crucible)
Experience supporting mission-critical applications in production
Education Requirements:
AWS certification (preferred).
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
