Overview:
As a Cards Business Analyst, you will play a key role in optimizing card services and enhancing member experience through strategic analysis and process improvements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business needs, define and document business requirements, processes, systems and testing and deliver innovative solutions for card processing and management. In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to ensure smooth integration and optimal performance of our card systems. This includes leveraging the Symitar core system and coordinating with our card processing vendor, Velera.
What You Will Do:
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to card processing, ensuring minimal disruption to member services.
Monitor card system performance and generate reports to identify trends, issues and opportunities for improvement.
Stay updated with industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to card processing.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to credit and debit card products and services.
Conduct thorough analysis of business requirements, including current state assessment, gap analysis, and future state definition.
Document functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring clarity, completeness, and feasibility.
Translate business requirements into detailed system specifications, including use cases, process flows and data models.
Collaborate with IT and vendors to implement changes, enhancements, and new features.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, user stories, and process guides.
Support QA activities by defining test scenarios and performing functional testing to ensure that solutions meet business requirements.
Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and assist in resolving defects and issues.
Coordinate and support end-user testing on upgrades and projects, including script development and troubleshooting.
Requirements
What We Are Looking For:
Minimum of five (5) years of Business Analyst experience required, preferably within a financial institution or card services environment.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field.
Experience with card processing systems and vendors (preferably Velera) and Jack Henry's Symitar core banking solution are a plus.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Knowledge of card industry regulations, compliance, and best practices is highly desirable.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working within Agile teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) are a plus.

To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges for all our job postings regardless of State. We set standard pay ranges for all roles based on function and level of expertise, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including, skills, depth of work experience and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below.
The base pay range for this position is: $82k-$100k
