NPI & Quotation Engineer

Ohshima Ireland LTD is currently seeking an experienced NPI & Quotation Engineer to join our team based in our facility in Santry, Co. Dublin. In this key role, you'll bridge the gap between customer requirements and production planning, helping to deliver accurate quotations and efficient support to both internal teams and suppliers.

• Translate customer information into practical, working formats for the quotation office
  
• Prepare BOMs (Bill of Materials) and component specifications using Excel for supplier distribution
  
• Respond to supplier queries regarding parts and specifications
  
• Collaborate with Finance, NPI, and Engineering teams to develop and improve labour costings
  
• Monitor labour efficiency against quoted timelines
  
• Develop new and effective costing models
  
• Work closely with the Sales team and customers to ensure timely and professional delivery of quotations
  
• Monitor foreign exchange (FX) rates to ensure accurate cost projections
  
• Understand and interpret detailed engineering drawings
  
• Liaise with suppliers to track and manage costs
  
• Maintain and oversee the AVL (Approved Vendor List)
  
• Upload and maintain BOMs and Routers in the ERP system
  
• Provide administrative support to both the Sales and xcfaprz Engineering teams
  

• 
  
• Prior engineering background is essential
  
• Finance experience is a plus
  
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
  
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
  
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings
  
• Experience in cost modelling and supplier management is a plus
  
• Prior experience in NPI (New Product Introduction) or quotation roles is highly desirable
