Network Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is looking to add a Network Engineer to our client's team in the St. Louis, MO area. This person will be joining a small team of one other individual to support or client's network infrastructure. This person will be responsible for overseeing the network infrastructure of the client, including their physical building hardware and data center. The client has outsourced many of their needs to a third-party vendor, so this individual will be responsible for assessing the network, addressing tickets related to network troubleshooting, auditing firewalls, and holding meetings with the end client to provide direction on network needs. Our client is focused on a major initiative of next generation of Wi-Fi updates and outsourcing to Microsoft Cloud. This role is 3 days on site, 2 remote.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of experience in network engineering

Experience with Wi-Fi, voice, and VLAN efforts

Experience with firewall troubleshooting and auditing

Knowledge of the OSI layer model and ability to explain the seven layers (experience working with Layer 2 and Layer 3)

Cloud experience (Azure, AWS)

Experience with DNS, DSS, and DHCP

Experience assisting with domain certifications

Strong communication skills Experience in the healthcare benefits/insurance industry null
