Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Inside Sales / Customer Service Representative to support our sales team and utility customers. This role is critical in managing day-to-day customer interactions, processing requests, and ensuring timely and accurate communication between customers, manufacturers, and our outside sales team.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is detail-oriented, and enjoys building strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, orders, and product requests
Provide pricing, availability, and lead time information to customers and sales reps
Coordinate with manufacturers and distributors to obtain quotes and order status updates
Process orders, track shipments, and ensure timely delivery
Maintain and update pricing files, and customer records
Support outside sales reps with quotes, submittals, and follow-ups
Proactively communicate with customers regarding order status, backorders, and changes
Assist in resolving customer issues quickly and professionally
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or sales support
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Bonus:
Experience in utilities, electrical distribution, or industrial sales
