Fleming, we market, sell, and distribute beer, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages from leading brands. We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our team. The Business Analyst serves as a strategic and analytical partner to the Executive Leadership Team, supporting companywide initiatives across sales, operations, and business planning. This role transforms data into actionable insights, develops executive-level dashboards, supports strategic decisions, and drives continuous improvement across the organization. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, highly analytical, collaborative, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
Executive Support & Business Insights Collaborate with the President and Executive Leadership Team to develop, publish, and maintain executive dashboards featuring sales, operational, and financial performance metrics. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reporting with clear insights, explanations of trends, and recommended actions. Translate data into meaningful insights, identify performance gaps, and recommend solutions to improve results across departments. Support annual business planning, including forecasting, scenario modeling, and strategic planning deliverables. Data Analysis & Reporting Collect, analyze, and interpret data across customers, brands, markets, and competitors to support decision-making. Develop business scorecards and performance tracking against key initiatives; update and communicate results regularly. Conduct pricing analysis to identify margin opportunities and recommend actions to increase profitability. Manage KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), dashboards, and reporting tools using Power BI, Excel, and other business intelligence platforms. Maintain data accuracy and integrity across reporting systems, ensuring reliable executive-level outputs. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work effectively with leaders across Sales, Operations, Finance, IT, HR, and Supply Chain to ensure data alignment and support cross-company initiatives. Provide analytical support for special projects, including new brand performance and evaluation, operational improvements, and sales strategy. Partner with department leaders to understand reporting needs and deliver tailored analysis that drives informed decision-making. Business Planning, Forecasting & Process Improvement Support long-range planning, budgeting, and financial modeling. Identify inefficiencies across processes and recommend improvements rooted in data-driven insights. Assist with the development and refinement of operational and sales KPIs, dashboards, and business processes. General Responsibilities Demonstrate strong work ethic, flexibility, and comfort working outside a strict 85 schedule when needed. Operate effectively within a matrixed environment across multiple locations. Perform other duties consistent with analytical support and business intelligence needs. Qualifications
Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree required (Business, Finance, Analytics, Accounting, or related field preferred). Relevant analytics experience; prior business analytics role highly preferred. Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI is required. Strong capability in statistical analysis, algebraic modeling, data visualization, and complex problem solving. Ability to work with data from multiple systems and ensure accuracy across platforms. Professional Competencies: Strong analytical thinking coupled with solid business acumen. Highly collaborative with the ability to communicate clearly with all levels of the organization. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to articulate data insights in executive-ready formats. Intellectually curious, self-directed, and motivated to create and improve processes. Ability to work strategically while also being comfortable performing tactical, hands-on analysis. Comfortable working without daily guidance; able to drive projects independently. Language & Math Requirements: Able to communicate effectively with all levels of the company and articulate insights and recommendations. Above-average mathematical and statistical aptitude, with the ability to model scenarios, analyze trends, and quantify business impacts. Supervisory Responsibilities: Indirect Work Environment: Mixed environment: office, warehouse, driving. Schedule dependent on business objectives. Minimum 40 hours per week on a five-day schedule. Early morning, evening, or nights may be required. Business travel, including overnight stays, may be required 2-3 times per month. Physical Demands: Maintains an acute awareness of moving vehicles. Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing/pulling, and lifting/carrying up to 45lbs. Necessary to climb steps and maintain balance to access tractors and trailers.
