Über
Administers complex retirement benefit programs, managing plan options, policy features, and enrollment requirements to ensure accurate service delivery. Manages accurate and timely preparation, and submission of compliance reporting/filings in accordance with regulatory deadlines to ensure ongoing adherence to federal, state, and institutional requirements. Communicates effectively with plan participants regarding benefit options and eligibility. Processes benefit distributions, loans, and hardship requests in a timely manner, and performs eligibility tracking, vesting calculations, and service credit determinations. Manages plan funding processes and maintains accurate plan records, including Summary Plan Descriptions, plan provisions, and amendments. Maintains reports, audits, and analyses using advanced analytical tools (formulas, pivot tables, data validation) to support benefits operations. Interprets findings and shares clear insights and recommendations with leadership. Analyzes existing systems and processes to recommend, plan, and implement enhancements, and optimizations to improve data accuracy and reporting efficiency. Collaborates with HR and Payroll to promote operational efficiencies and reduce administrative costs. Contributes to moderately complex projects, such as plan implementations, system upgrades, testing, or process improvement initiatives. Assists with employee communications and engagement efforts, as needed. Maintains vendor relationships and serves as a liaison between plan sponsors and participants to resolve issues regarding third-party administrators, record-keepers, or trustees. Conducts educational sessions and workshops for employees to enhance their understanding of retirement savings, investment options, and financial wellness. Supports open enrollment events and related activities. Analyzes benefit costs, usage trends, participation rates, and related financial metrics for benefit programs. Creates reports and presentations with recommendations to support leadership in planning and evaluating benefit offerings. Stays current on industry trends and legislative changes, and recommends necessary policy updates to mitigate organizational risk. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets. Core Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in relevant field required Certification and Licensing: Refer to department description for applicable certification requirements Experience: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience required Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes: Learning Agility: Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols, and adapt to changing priorities and work demands. Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment. Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications. Communication: Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.
