Job Summary Aretum is seeking a skilled and highly motivated Test / QA Engineer. As a Test / QA Engineer, you will validate system functionality, data accuracy, and integration performance.
Due to the nature of our work as a federal consulting organization, employees may be expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute test plans across system components
Validate data pipelines and risk scoring outputs
Test APIs and integrations
Support UAT with stakeholders
Automate regression testing where feasible
Testing Types:
Functional, integration, regression, UAT support
API Testing:
Postman, REST clients, automated API validation
Data Validation:
SQL queries, dataset comparison, reconciliation checks
Test Automation:
Basic scripting (Python/JavaScript), test frameworks
Defect Tracking:
Jira or similar tools
Test Case Design:
Requirements traceability, edge case identification
Performance Testing (Basic):
Load testing concepts, response validation
CI/CD Integration:
Running tests in pipelines
Documentation:
Test plans, test cases, defect reports
Basic Understanding of Healthcare Data:
Enough to validate outputs logically
Collaboration:
Working with engineers to isolate and reproduce issues
Travel Requirements This is a remote position; however, occasional travel may be required based on project needs, client meetings, team collaboration events, or training sessions. Travel is expected to be less than 10% and will be communicated in advance whenever possible.
