The Business/Systems Analyst is responsible for gathering requirements, developing workflow and system specifications, and execution of project tasks required to deliver IT solutions in support of applications within a fast-moving, highly collaborative Agile framework. Responsibilities
Requirements gathering from the business users and developing system specifications for projects, enhancements, and bug/issues. Work directly with various levels of business users to document requirements, create visual diagrams, review specifications, obtain approval, support QA & UAT and post-production roll‑out. Working with Offshore developers and external vendors to ensure specifications are understood, followed, and implemented properly. Issue resolution/escalation including prioritization and tracking. Tracking issues through JIRA and maintaining regular updates to sprint/Project progress. Perform other duties as assigned. Professional Qualifications
5+ years experience in IT as a Technical Business analyst/system analyst and created functional requirements for complex projects within the Insurance P&C domain. Good understanding of the underwriting process includes the policy lifecycle, coverages, endorsements, forms, rating, etc. Experience in working in Underwriting and Claims applications. Experience in data integration and data quality projects. Ability to work with technical teams (developers, architects, QA, infrastructure), business users and software vendors to document requirements on time. Excellent understanding of how technology impacts the business. Excellent team player with a proven background of individual contribution. Preferred Technical Skills
Insurance Policy Administration System experience (Duck Creek, Guidewire, etc.) Understanding of XML and/or JSON languages is a plus Strong SQL skills to query SQL databases Education
Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or equivalent college degree with relevant experience. Any Business analyst/IT Certification is a plus Insurance specific training is a plus. Benefits

Required job duties consist of prompt and regular attendance, ability to frequently move about the office to coordinate work with others; standing, sitting and typing for extended periods; and lifting and/or carrying up to 5 lbs. Ability to frequently communicate with others in-person, on the phone/virtually, and in writing. Ability to read, understand, process and evaluate large amounts of technical information and make related, informed decisions. Schedule
We offer flexible work hours between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with options like 8–4, 8:30–4:30, or 9–5. We do our best to support individual preferences, though schedules may be adjusted as needed to ensure strong coverage and teamwork. We also offer a hybrid schedule: team members work onsite four days a week and can work remotely one day a week. Location
