Kelly Services is currently seeking a Computer Vision/Machine Learning Engineer for one of our top clients in Jacksonville, FL. Contract will be 12 months in length. Hybrid role working 3xs a week in office.
We are seeking a highly motivated Computer Vision Engineer to design, develop, and deploy machine learning models for image-based applications. This role focuses on building robust computer vision systems, managing datasets, and improving model performance through experimentation and optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement computer vision models for classification, object detection, and segmentation tasks.
Train, evaluate, and optimize machine learning models using frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow/Keras.
Apply techniques such as regularization, hyperparameter tuning, and model validation.
Analyze model performance using metrics like precision, recall, F1 score, confusion matrix, and ROC/AUC.
Curate, clean, and maintain high-quality datasets for training and evaluation.
Perform data annotation and work with formats such as COCO, Pascal VOC, and YOLO.
Manage dataset splits (train/validation/test) and address class imbalance challenges.
Ensure reproducibility through versioning and proper experiment tracking.
Apply image preprocessing techniques including resizing, normalization, and augmentation.
Work with modern architectures such as CNNs, YOLO, and ResNet.
Collaborate on optimizing imaging system parameters and their impact on model performance.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented Python code.
Use version control systems (e.g., Git) for collaboration and code management.
Structure ML projects using notebooks and production-ready scripts.
Communicate technical findings effectively to cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Strong proficiency in Python and libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, OpenCV, and scikit-learn.
Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow/Keras.
Hands‑on experience in computer vision tasks (classification, detection, segmentation).
Understanding of machine learning fundamentals and evaluation metrics.
