Job Overview The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and driving revenue growth. As the primary driver for your territory, you will run your region like your own business, taking full ownership of your lead pipeline, outreach, and monthly revenue targets. This role requires a proactive “hunter” mentality and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment. While you lead with high autonomy, you are fully supported by the Sales Manager and a collaborative internal team to ensure you have the resources, training, and operational backing required to win.
Responsibilities
Own the Pipeline: Act as the primary driver for market expansion by identifying and cultivating potential clients, including veterinary clinics, pet rehabilitation centers, and dog sport and service professional partners.
Proactive Prospecting: Take full ownership of lead qualification and outreach in your territory, while proactively contributing creative ideas to the Sales Manager and internal support team to design and execute outbound sales campaigns and promotions that drive lead generation and renewals.
Tailored Presentations: Develop and deliver creative, engaging product demonstrations (virtual and in‑person) that specifically address the unique needs of your prospects.
Product Education: Educate clients and wholesale partners on the technical benefits of Paw Prosper products, empowering them to effectively promote the brand.
Attend and contribute to industry conferences, seminars, and workshops to network with professionals and generate sales leads
Revenue Management + Growth
Hit Monthly Targets: Maintain a results‑driven approach to meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets and performance metrics.
Business Intelligence: Use HubSpot as your main “command center” to manage your lead tracking system from initial contact through to closing.
Upsell Strategy: Proactively identify opportunities for upselling and cross‑selling within existing accounts to maximize revenue per client.
Relationship Management: Foster deep loyalty and repeat business by providing ongoing support and addressing inquiries with a “business‑owner” level of urgency.
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, providing ongoing support with product inquiries, troubleshooting, and customer training to ensure a high level of satisfaction and engagement.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
Experience in the pet or veterinary industry – bonus.
Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, with a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets.
Entrepreneurial Mindset: Ability to work independently, make outbound calls with comfort, and take full ownership of your territory’s success.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in HubSpot (CRM), ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Communication: Exceptional negotiation and presentation skills with a high attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Knowledge of sales techniques and best practices.
