Reserving Actuary

We are partnering with a global reinsurance leader to hire a Reserving Actuary for their Dublin team. This role offers the opportunity to work at the centre of actuarial oversight, supporting reserving across multiple regulatory frameworks within a highly collaborative international environment.

Reporting to the Head of Actuarial Function, you will:

• 
  
• Support the independent review of quarterly reserving production, working closely with Risk, Finance and Reserving teams
  
• Prepare materials for Reserving & Capital Committees and Board reporting
  
• Contribute to Actuarial Opinions (SII Technical Provisions, ORSA, underwriting, reinsurance)
  
• Support assumption setting and model change processes
  
• Assist with internal/external audits and peer reviews
  
• Maintain actuarial documentation, controls, and data quality reporting frameworks
  
• Provide input into governance committees and review new material transactions
  
• Collaborate with global actuarial teams on group-wide initiatives
  

• 
  
• Qualified or nearly qualified actuary (IFoA/SOA or equivalent)
  
• 5+ years’ actuarial experience, ideally within life (re)insurance reserving or valuation
  
• Strong knowledge of Solvency II and multi-GAAP environments
  
• Experience with AXIS, R or similar tools is advantageous xcfaprz
  
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage across stakeholders
  
• Organised, adaptable, and comfortable working in a matrix, international environment
