Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our acute Rehab team. The SLP evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. This role collaborates with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
· Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
· Provide bedside swallow evaluations and recommend appropriate diets
· Collaborate with physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and rehab team members
· Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely
· Educate patients and families on treatment plans and safe swallowing techniques
· Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning
· Ensure compliance with all regulatory and facility standards
Qualifications
· Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
· Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
· Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or Clinical Fellow (CFY) welcome
· Previous acute care or hospital experience preferred
· Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
