Senior Python Engineer

Stelfox is partnering with a U.S SaaS provider in Dublin City who are looking to hire a Senior Python Engineer as they look to completely modernise the backend platform services built on Python/Django to facilitate future scaling of their services.

You will get involved in designing, developing and delivery highly scalable, reliable and performance application, as well as act as a Tech lead within a squad as the team is re-organised for this product modernisation initiative.

We're looking for people with an appetite for learning, and the following core skillset:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
• Ideally 5+ years in python coding.
• Proven experience in software development, with expertise in microservices, MongoDB / PostgreSQL/NoSQL as well as a strong understanding of cloud computing principles are a must.
• Experience with AWS services is desired.
• Leadership experience, with the ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor junior team members.
• Proficiency in agile methodologies and experience working in an agile development environment.
• Experience with SaaS (Software as a Service) products is a plus.
