About the team TikTok Content Ecosystem team's goal is to ensure that TikTok is safe and welcoming for everyone, including minors. This encourages creators to create good content, and improves user satisfaction in the long run. We also work with the recommendation and personalization team to tailor the feed to everyone's interests, with a goal to make our users happier. This goes towards TikTok's mission of inspiring creativity and bringing joy. We're looking for seasoned program managers, who are familiar with the quality issues in various markets, understand external factors including government regulations, and deliver on improving quality for TikTok feed.

Responsibilities

  1. Possess a keen perception and deep understanding of international short video content from both platform and user perspectives. Combine machine learning and manual correction to complete model clustering, annotation understanding and quality assessment. Develop and implement general content understanding capabilities, including but not limited to content classification tags, interest tags, and other key categorizations.
  2. Understand the philosophy and work flow of content recommendations system. Be able to assist recommendation algorithm teams and data scientists to iterate models, evaluate and optimize product strategies.
  3. Identify and address user and platform centric pain points in recommendation systems, expand application scenarios. Expand new application scenarios and strategies, enable businesses to access solutions efficiently, implement data-driven interventions based on outcomes, and deliver measurable value Application scenarios include but are not limited to: recommendation distribution, vertical operations, data analysis, etc.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams of Product, Policy, Engineering, Research scientists, and Data scientists, to streamline execution, resolve challenges, and achieve desired outcomes.
  5. Demonstrate strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills, actively analyze and synthesize issues, identify opportunities, and drive continuous improvement and capability/feature enhancements.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree or above with 3+ years of work experience in product management.
  • Ability to understand the needs of content consumers, creators and diverse users, etc.
  • Outstanding collaboration and communication to build trusted relationships with cross functional teams, responsible and persistence, can turn ambiguous problems into clear solutions with great project management and execution skills.
  • Able to conduct data analysis, and has strong logical thinking ability.
  • Passionate about content products.

    Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in content understanding, content policy design, content ecosystem governance, and similar governance product roles is a plus.
