Designs and develops comprehensive Business Intelligence (BI) solutions to enable data-driven decision making across the organization. Collaborates with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, creates and maintains ETL processes, and develops optimized reports and dashboards for end-users. Troubleshoots BI system issues, supports data governance and security policies, and assists in implementing BI best practices. Monitors BI tools and recommends improvements.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities • Designs and develops comprehensive BI solutions to support data-driven decision making • Collaborates with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements • Develops and maintains ETL processes, reports, and dashboards • Troubleshoots BI system issues and supports data governance and security policies • Contributes to the implementation of BI best practices • Monitors BI tools and performance, recommending enhancements and improvements
Qualifications
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of relevant work experience required. An equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. A Bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required experience.
Relevant Work Experience Includes • Healthcare experience • EMR system experience (Epic preferred) • Data analytics experience
Minimum Qualifications • 3+ years of experience designing and developing Business Intelligence (BI) solutions • Expertise in creating and optimizing ETL processes • Experience supporting data governance and security policies • Strong skills in report and dashboard development • Ability to monitor BI tools and recommend improvements • Ability to work across multiple departments within the enterprise/health system • Strong problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills • Hands-on experience with large relational databases and data warehousing, including querying using SQL or similar languages • Experience with report writing and data visualization tools, such as Epic Cogito Suite (RADAR, Reporting Workbench, SlicerDicer), SAP Business Objects (WebI), Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms • Advanced Excel skills, including complex functions, formulas, and formatting • Proven ability to work accurately with large datasets (millions of records) • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Certifications may be preferred or required within six (6) months of hire, depending on area of focus as determined by management, including: • Cogito Fundamentals • Cogito Access, Revenue, or Clinical Data Model (Proficiency level or above)
Motor Vehicle Operator Designation
Employees in this position may operate vehicles for assigned business purposes as a
non-frequent driver .
