Mechanical Design Engineer - HVAC

leading mechanical contractor
specializing in
design-build HVAC projects
across
commercial and industrial sectors , including
healthcare, education, manufacturing, food processing, and retail . Due to rapid growth, they are expanding their in-house engineering team.
The Role:
We are looking for an
experienced Mechanical Design Engineer
to support HVAC system design for
new construction, expansions, and renovations . You’ll work alongside
project managers, estimators, and CAD techs
to develop efficient mechanical systems for
hospitals, K-12 schools, universities, retail, and more .

What You’ll Do:
Design HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, and equipment selection
Perform load calculations and system layouts ensuring code compliance
Support pre-bid planning, estimating, and field coordination
Provide technical expertise to teams in both office and field settings
Mentor junior engineers and CAD personnel
What You Need:
10-15 years of HVAC design experience in commercial & industrial projects
P.E. license preferred but not required
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and load calculation tools
Strong knowledge of mechanical codes and energy efficiency standards
Ability to work in a fast-paced, design-build environment
