Sr. z/OS System Engineer

Responsibilities: Experience in maintaining DB2 and IMS/DB database systems. Effective communication skills, capable of engaging with experts and stakeholders, as well as infrastructure teams. Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) accountable for working with service providers to solve problems and optimize database systems. Proficient in database system backup and disaster recovery. Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related experience (at least 7 years). 7 years of experience as a Database System Programmer, System Administrator, or System Engineer, with expertise in DB2 and IMS/DB system administration and programming. Proficiency in DB2 and IMS/DB subsystem/region design, implementation, administration, and security. Experience with managed service providers and offshore support teams. Strong understanding of database and database management system performance tuning and optimization with tools like Omegamon and SYSView. Experience with database security concepts, tools, and regulatory compliance.
