Join Industrial Flow North America as a Lead System Design Engineer where you will Develop and design engineering documentation including but not limited to general arrangement layout, P&ID, assembly drawings, fabrication/machining drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and 3-D solid models using Solid Edge and AutoCAD. Responsibilities include:
Assist in the design and development of new packaged products
Create models and drawings of products using CAD
Research new product ideas and methods
Improve existing products and processes
Ensure compliance with the industry's safety standards
Maintain accurate records of designs
Ensure products are user and environment friendly
Find creative design solutions to problems
To succeed, you need
Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in CAD design with packaged pumping skids.
Basic understanding of pumping system fundamentals
Experience using CAD software to perform design analysis of structural and support members
Ability to interpret technical specifications
Minimum 5 years experience in packaged equipment layout and design, including but not limited to, pumps, piping, electrical, instrumentation and structural.
Ability to prioritize and make self-directed decisions, multi-task, and function effectively under frequent deadlines.
Direct experience in layout and design of packaged equipment for the oil & gas industry is preferred.
Must be detail oriented.
Excellent personal organization and communication skills. Must have the ability to clearly communicate verbally to customers and vendors.
Good understanding of safety standards and environmental impact of a design.
Great computational and spatial ability.
Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
In-depth knowledge of industry design principles.
Dealing with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
Developing effective working relationships with peers so as to work as a team
