Medicaid Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW)
Position Overview
The Senior Business Intelligence & Reports Developer is responsible for developing and supporting business intelligence solutions and reporting applications for a Medicaid Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW). This role works closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to deliver high-quality reporting, dashboards, and analytical solutions that support Medicaid program operations, compliance, and federal reporting requirements.
The ideal candidate has strong experience with enterprise reporting platforms, healthcare or Medicaid data, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Business Intelligence & Reporting Development
Design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations supporting Medicaid program operations and analytics.
Develop complex SQL queries and data models to support reporting and analytics needs.
Build enterprise reporting solutions using BI tools such as Tableau, Cognos, and similar platforms.
Ensure reports and dashboards meet performance, usability, and accessibility standards.
Implement data validation and quality checks within reporting solutions.
Medicaid Program Reporting
Develop and maintain reports supporting Medicaid program oversight, including eligibility, claims, providers, and encounters.
Support reporting for Medicaid program areas including:
Managed Care
Fee-for-Service (FFS)
Provider Management
Member Eligibility
Pharmacy
Assist with analysis of healthcare utilization, cost trends, and program performance metrics.
Federal & Regulatory Reporting
Develop reports supporting federal reporting requirements including CMS reporting submissions.
Support reporting initiatives such as:
Transformed Medicaid Statistical Information System (T-MSIS)
CMS program integrity reporting
CMS quality and performance reporting
Federal waiver reporting
Ensure reporting solutions align with CMS data standards and regulatory requirements.
Data Warehouse Integration
Work closely with EDW architects and ETL developers to design reporting data models and semantic layers.
Participate in data warehouse design discussions related to reporting structures and data marts.
Validate source-to-report data mapping and transformation logic.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Gather and document reporting requirements from Medicaid program staff and leadership.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications and reporting designs.
Provide guidance to business users on BI tools and reporting capabilities.
Performance & Optimization
Optimize SQL queries, datasets, and BI reports for performance and scalability.
Monitor report performance and troubleshoot data or performance issues.
Documentation & Governance
Maintain documentation for report definitions, data sources, and business logic.
Support data governance and metadata documentation initiatives.
Ensure adherence to security, privacy, and HIPAA compliance standards.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field.
7+ years of experience in business intelligence, reporting development, or data analytics.
5+ years of experience working with enterprise data warehouses.
Strong SQL skills for complex data extraction and analysis.
Experience with BI/reporting tools such as Tableau and Cognos:
Experience developing dashboards and analytical reports.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with BI tools such as SAS and PowerBI
Experience working with
Medicaid or healthcare data

Familiarity with
CMS reporting requirements
and federal healthcare data standards.
Experience with
T-MSIS data structures and reporting
.
Experience working within
large government or Medicaid data warehouse environments
.
Experience working in
Agile or Scrum environments

For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation and/or sick time. The estimated salary range for this role is $110,688 - $143,750.
