The Role
Are you a compassionate individual looking to make a difference? We are on the lookout for a skilled Teaching Assistant to join our small, supportive team. In this role, you will help create a safe and inclusive learning environment for pupils with complex needs.
Your work will be vital in engaging children in their education, fostering a sense of belonging, and improving attendance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils.
- Assist in delivering engaging lessons aligned with curriculum expectations.
- Build positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and learning.
- Monitor and report on pupils' progress, collaborating with school staff.
- Supervise pupils during non-classroom activities, including extracurricular events.
- Support lesson planning and classroom preparation.
- Implement strategies to address social, emotional, and mental health needs.
- Participate in school events and staff meetings.
Qualifications and Skills
- A relevant qualification in education or a related field (e.g., Level 3 Teaching Assistant Diploma).
- Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of curriculum delivery and pupil support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with complex needs.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work.
Teaching and Learning Expectations
- Prioritize teaching and learning, supporting the work of the teacher.
- Promote inclusion by encouraging participation in learning and extracurricular activities.
- Utilize effective behavior management strategies in line with school policies.

- Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and colleagues.
