A leading multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing team in Cork. The role involves working on a wide range of projects across commercial, residential, education, and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver electrical designs with a strong focus on environmental performance and sustainability.
  • Incorporate key performance metrics such as daylight analysis and overheating risk into system design.
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical, public health, and sustainability teams to provide integrated building services solutions.
  • Maintain high standards in client engagement, design quality, and cost management.
  • Participate in design meetings, site inspections, and technical reviews throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure alignment with company-wide design standards and best practices across offices.

Requirements

  • Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in electrical design, ideally within the PMEP or building services sector.
  • Proficient in Revit BIM and familiar with performance analysis tools such as IES, Dialux, or Relux.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Working towards chartership is advantageous.
  • Full clean driving licence and access to transport.
