*Description:*
CS3 Advantage is looking for a motivated individual to serve as an IT Consultant on our support team. The individual will aid in providing IT solutions to businesses in the Kentuckiana area -- including support of peer-to-peer networks, on premise and Entra ID hybrid domain environments, support and upgrades for multiple physical servers and virtual servers, migration and/or upgrade of server OSs, installing and configuring workstation PCs in both a peer-to-peer and a Domain environment, and organizing existing/new networks into a more secure LAN or VLAN.
*Essential Functions:*
- Work with end users to troubleshoot and fix a variety of problems both hardware and software on the network and within their line of function software
- Problems range from printer setup, software issue, network issue, crashed HDD, virus’, and software configuration
- Work with customers to help improve their network including networking upgrades, software updates, backup solutions
- Work on the network administrator side includes Exchange/DNS/DHCP/IIS/AD issues, software/hardware upgrades on servers, replacement/installation of servers, removal of network virus’/worms, and replacing/upgrading/installing of network devices
- Will also work in virtual environments through HyperV and VMWare
*Requirements: *
- Able to work with other IT Technicians/Help Desk to solve the problem for the customer
- Must be able to learn new software and configurations on the fly
- Able to work while talking with the customer
- Able to give recommendations to the customer and options that are available for them once problems are resolved
- Able to handle multiple projects at once
- Must have reliable transportation, able to drive up to 50+ miles per day, mileage compensation provided
- Have a general understanding of database structures
- Must be able to do PC repair
*Organizational Skills:*
- Ability to independently initiate, prioritize, and plan work to meet deadlines on multiple projects
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-starter with ability to make independent judgment
- Time management skills with strong attention to deadlines
Preferred Experience:
- Understanding of NTFS file system and computer hardware
- Experience and Knowledgeable of Windows Operating Systems 8 - 11, Legacy OS knowledge a plus
- Experience and Knowledgeable of Windows Server Operating Systems 20012 - 2025, Legacy Server platforms a plus
- Knowledgeable of Networking Infrastructure, Security, and VLAN growth
- Solid understanding of database structures and SQL
- Familiarity with programs and application support especially in Microsoft Office products and accounting software
Preferred candidates will have practical experience in these areas. Strong candidates will have a strong aptitude to troubleshoot and think creatively to solve problems outside the box. Critical thinking and problem solving mentality is a must.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
