We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Oral Surgeon to join our professional dental team at our Lumberton, North Carolina location. This position is available part-time or full-time, offering flexible scheduling Monday through Friday to support work life balance. Our practice is committed to providing exceptional surgical care in a supportive, patient-centered environment. The ideal candidate will be experienced in oral and maxillofacial surgery procedures and dedicated to delivering the highest standard of care.

Position Overview

The role involves performing a variety of complex surgical procedures while collaborating closely with general dentists and clinical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Perform surgical procedures including but not limited to:

• Wisdom tooth extractions

• Dental implant placement

• Bone grafting

• Surgical tooth extractions

• Treatment of oral pathology

• Management of facial trauma (when applicable)

• Conduct patient consultations and comprehensive evaluations

• Develop and explain personalized surgical treatment plans

• Administer anesthesia and monitor patients throughout procedures

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records

• Provide post-operative care instructions and follow-up evaluations

• High level of comfort with autonomy and, practicing within your scope of practice.

Required Education

Candidates must meet the following educational requirements:

• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited dental school

• Completion of an accredited Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program (4–6 years)

• Advanced training in anesthesia and surgical procedures

Required Qualifications

• Active North Carolina Dental License or eligibility for licensure

• Board certification or board eligibility in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery preferred

• Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience in oral surgery (preferred)

• Proficiency in dental implant placement and surgical extractions

• Strong diagnostic and treatment planning skills

• Experience with IV sedation or general anesthesia preferred
