Our veterinary practice is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent patient care, assisting veterinarians with procedures, and communicating with clients about their pets' health.
*Responsibilities:*
* Assist veterinarians in medical and surgical procedures
* Provide patient care
* Administering medication
* Monitoring vital signs
* Maintaining medical records
* Collect and analyze laboratory samples
* Educate clients on preventive care, nutrition, and behavior
* Perform dental cleanings, take dental radiographs, and assist with extractions
* Perform routine laboratory procedures such as fecal exams and blood draws
* Clean and maintain equipment and facilities
* Assist with patient admissions and discharges
* Other duties as required
*Qualifications:*
* Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Must be able to work well in a team environment
* Must be proficient in computer skills
* Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
* Must be a licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of Iowa
