The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of patient care, anatomy, and medical terminology, particularly in orthopedics and outpatient settings.
Our clinic hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00am until 5:30pm, with a half day on Friday from 8:00am until noon.
*Responsibilities*
* Collaborate with physical therapists, PTAs, and clinical staff to align massage therapy with overall treatment goals.
* Provide evidence-based techniques such as deep tissue, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and sports massage.
* Adjust treatment plans based on patient condition, progress, and tolerance.
* Maintain accurate documentation of sessions per clinic policies and state regulations.
* Communicate patient concerns or changes in condition to clinical staff.
* Educate patients on massage benefits for recovery, posture, muscle relaxation, and stress relief.
* Ensure patient safety and comfort during sessions.
* Maintain cleanliness of treatment rooms, gym areas, and equipment per infection control standards.
* Assist with clerical tasks (filing, scanning, and scheduling appointments).
Qualifications
* Required: Texas Licensed Massage Therapist
* Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
* Preferred experience in orthopedics, acute care, or outpatient settings
* Excellent interpersonal and patient care skills
* Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team
* Organizational skills to maintain a clean and efficient environment
* Previous healthcare experience is a plus but not required
* Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced setting
Physical Demands
* Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and sitting
* Ability to lift/move items up to 30 lbs occasionally
Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
