*Who we are*
At Emu Analytics, we are redefining how organisations understand and use geospatial and temporal data. Founded in 2015, we are an award-winning London-based software company delivering innovative, real-time analytics solutions, including cloud-based Digital Twins for transport operations and infrastructure.
Our success is driven by collaboration, creativity and a shared ambition to make an impact. We foster a supportive, inclusive culture where talented people thrive, innovation is encouraged, and fresh perspectives are valued.
If you’re looking to grow your skills while helping shape the future of data-driven decision-making, Emu Analytics is the place for you.
*Job Summary*
The Delivery Manager leads and scales Emu Analytics’ Delivery function, ensuring all client and internal projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard. The role oversees end-to-end project execution, from planning and resource allocation through to testing, release and post-delivery support.
You will line manage the Delivery team, drive scheduling and resource planning, refine delivery processes and hold ultimate accountability for the quality and timeliness of releases. This is a managerial and operational role requiring strong organisational, forecasting and communication skills, alongside solid technical understanding (with limited hands-on development).
Working closely with Product and Commercial, you will align delivery with product strategy and embed a more product-focused, outcome-driven and predictable delivery model for clients and internal stakeholders.
*Key Responsibilities*
Leadership & Management
* Serve as Line Manager for all members of the Delivery team, including performance reviews, development planning, feedback and pastoral support.
* Create a culture of accountability, high performance, and continuous improvement.
* Drive resource planning, capacity management, and recruitment where necessary.
Client Projects Delivery
* Oversee the end-to-end delivery of all client and internal projects, ensuring they meet scope, timeline, budget, and quality targets.
* Establish and maintain robust delivery methodologies, processes, and documentation standards.
* Assign human resources to projects based on skills, experience and availability and coordinate specialist contributions from the Product team for complex or foundational project phases.
* Support project teams in removing blockers and maintaining momentum.
* Monitor delivery timelines, deadlines and milestones, intervening early when risks or delays emerge.
* Hold ultimate accountability for the quality, stability and readiness of project releases.
* Ensure appropriate QA, testing and approval processes are applied before release.
Client & Stakeholder Collaboration
* Act as senior project delivery point of contact for all clients, ensuring expectations are clear and satisfaction remains high.
* Support pre-sales scoping by providing delivery estimates, feasibility assessments, resource forecasts and indicative delivery dates for near-won and newly won work.
* Ensure accurate delivery assumptions are reflected in Statements of Work, client contracts and revenue projections.
* Provide clear, timely and accurate project reporting to Commercial Account Managers and Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
* Maintain strong alignment with Product throughout project lifecycles.
* Escalate delivery risks, missed milestones, resourcing issues or timeline deviations to SLT when necessary.
Resource Forecasting & Budget Planning
* Forecast delivery resource needs for the next 6–12 months, including upcoming pipeline and growth opportunities.
* Provide timely and accurate forecasts to the Head of Operations to inform resourcing plans and support recruitment decisions.
* Prepare delivery-related budget forecasts for future financial years.
Operational Excellence
* Continuously refine and improve delivery processes, documentation standards, quality controls, workflows and communication practices.
* Maintain and optimise tools used for project tracking, resource management, QA and reporting, ensuring consistent adoption across the team.
* Embed a strong culture of continuous improvement in how projects are planned, estimated, executed and reviewed.
*Essential Skills*
* Strong experience leading delivery and project management functions within a tech, data or software environment.
* Demonstrated ability to allocate resources, manage capacity and oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
* Proven track record of delivering high-quality, low-defect outputs against deadlines and budgets.
* Excellent line management skills with experience leading junior or mid-level delivery staff.
* Strong ability to communicate effectively with commercial, technical and executive stakeholders.
* Proficiency in planning, scheduling, project reporting and operational administration.
* Technically competent enough to understand project requirements and technical constraints but not required to be a developer or architect.
* Experience in data analytics, geospatial technology, mobility or SaaS delivery.
* Familiarity with Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies.
* Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
* Experience contributing to Statements of Work, scoping and delivery-based commercial discussions.
* Familiarity with using project tracking software (Jira preferred).
* Strong practical understanding of software and data delivery lifecycles.
