Advisory Teacher

Location: Ashurst, Hampshire

Contract: Term time only

Hours: 3 days per week (21 hours)

Salary: £36,000 pro rata

Our Integrated Services Programme is designed to surround children with a comprehensive range of support services, including social workers, fostering advisors, teachers, and therapists. Together, we create a therapeutic approach to fostering that truly makes a difference in the lives of children and their foster families.

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic, skilled, and innovative teacher to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will:

• Support the education of children across the South region.
• Provide guidance to foster carers, schools, and a network of professionals.
• Advise on educational provisions and monitor the progress of children.
• Assist in developing educational support policies and procedures.
• Attend multi-disciplinary team meetings to align with childcare and personal education plans.
• Liaise effectively with professionals to ensure each child’s educational needs are met.
• Promote strong relationships with schools and local authority professionals.

• Qualified Teacher Status
• Relevant classroom experience
• A flexible and creative approach to supporting children’s education
• Strong decision-making skills to resolve complex educational issues
• A working knowledge of the educational needs and entitlements for children and young people
