Join our dynamic logistics team as an Order Picker in Kansas City, Missouri! We are seeking motivated individuals to accurately and efficiently pick customer orders from our warehouse inventory. This role is critical to ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of orders, directly impacting customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for navigating the warehouse, selecting items according to order specifications, and preparing them for the packing process. A keen eye for detail, good physical stamina for lifting, and a commitment to workplace safety are essential. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves and storage locations based on order pick lists or RF scanner prompts.
- Verify product information and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Transport picked items to the designated staging or packing area.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety regulations and protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers safely and efficiently.
- Participate in inventory control activities, including cycle counts and stock verification.
- Report any discrepancies or damages immediately to a supervisor.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet productivity goals.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures and logistics.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, such as safety vests and gloves.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
