We are hiring a diligent Receiving Clerk for our bustling logistics hub in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This critical role involves managing the intake of all incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining detailed records. You will be responsible for unloading deliveries, verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damages, and accurately logging items into our inventory system. A strong emphasis on safety, efficiency, and meticulous record-keeping is essential for success in this position. You will be the gatekeeper of our inventory, playing a vital part in the integrity of our supply chain. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and understands the importance of precise documentation in a warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload goods from trucks and various carriers.
- Verify received items against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect shipments for any damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Label and stage received goods for put-away or distribution.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe receiving dock area.
- Communicate any receiving issues to supervisors or relevant departments.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving or warehouse operations is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and data entry.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and logistics procedures.
- Must wear appropriate PPE, including safety vests and steel-toed boots.
