Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick orders from inventory locations using order sheets or RF scanners.
- Pack items securely and efficiently to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify order accuracy before sealing and preparing for shipment.
- Operate pallet jacks and other manual lifting equipment.
- Label packages correctly and affix shipping labels.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse safety rules and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control tasks as needed, such as cycle counting.
- Communicate any picking or packing issues to supervisors promptly.
- Contribute to meeting daily picking and packing quotas.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
- Capability for regular lifting of items up to 40 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Basic math skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving in a logistics environment.
