Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our prominent logistics center in Sacramento, California. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will encompass performing meticulous cycle counts, investigating and resolving discrepancies, managing stock levels, and implementing effective inventory control procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of warehouse operations, and a proven ability to maintain high levels of accuracy. Safety is a core value in our operations, and you will be expected to strictly adhere to all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE). This role requires the ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, so a good level of physical fitness is essential. Responsibilities:
  • Conducting regular and accurate cycle counts of warehouse inventory.
  • Investigating and resolving discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
  • Monitoring inventory levels and ensuring optimal stock accuracy.
  • Implementing and enforcing inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Working closely with warehouse staff to ensure proper receiving, put-away, and picking processes.
  • Maintaining up-to-date and accurate inventory records in the WMS.
  • Identifying and reporting damaged, expired, or obsolete stock.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives for inventory accuracy and efficiency.
  • Adhering to all company safety standards, including proper lifting and the correct use of PPE.
  • Assisting with other warehouse duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, preferably within a logistics or distribution environment.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and WMS software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Familiarity with warehouse safety best practices and the importance of PPE.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
