Seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role is fundamental to our Logistics operations, ensuring that all incoming goods are accurately received, inspected, and processed into our inventory system. You will be responsible for verifying shipments against purchase orders, documenting any discrepancies, and ensuring that materials are properly stored. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and has excellent attention to detail. This position may involve some physical activity, including the occasional Lifting of packages up to 40 pounds and moving them to their designated storage areas. You will work closely with suppliers, warehouse staff, and other departments to maintain smooth operations. Safety is a top priority; you must adhere to all Safety guidelines and wear the appropriate PPE when required. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments.
- Inspect goods for damage and verify quantities against purchase orders.
- Document all receiving activities and discrepancies accurately.
- Enter receiving data into the inventory management system.
- Organize and stage received items for put-away.
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding deliveries and returns.
- Follow all Safety procedures and utilize required PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
