Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic warehouse team in Portland, Oregon. This critical role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, supporting seamless logistics operations. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing process improvements to minimize errors and optimize stock rotation. You will work closely with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to maintain accurate inventory records in our Warehouse Management System (WMS). A strong understanding of inventory control principles and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized workspace are essential. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily cycle counts and periodic physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the WMS, including stock adjustments and transfers.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report on stock status, including slow-moving or obsolete items.
  • Collaborate with warehouse personnel to ensure proper handling and storage of materials.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Conduct audits of inventory processes and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Assist with the training of new team members on inventory control procedures.
  • Support logistics operations by providing accurate inventory data.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse, or logistics roles.
  • Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring significant Lifting (up to 50 lbs) and prolonged periods of standing and walking.
