We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Picker/Packer to join our logistics team in Huntsville, Alabama. This role is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently picked and prepared for shipment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational skills, and have a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for locating items within the warehouse, accurately recording picked quantities, and carefully packing items to prevent damage during transit. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting. You will be expected to adhere to all company policies and safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). The ability to work collaboratively with team members and contribute to overall warehouse efficiency is essential. This role offers a competitive hourly wage and opportunities for growth within our dynamic logistics network. Experience with warehouse management systems is a plus, but not required as comprehensive training will be provided. Attention to detail is paramount to ensure order accuracy and customer satisfaction. Understanding of basic inventory principles will be beneficial. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order tickets.
- Pack items securely and efficiently, ensuring product protection during shipping.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure the correct items and quantities are packed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Operate pallet jacks and other equipment as needed for lifting and moving inventory.
- Meet established productivity and quality standards.
- Assist with inventory counts as required.
- Follow all logistics and warehousing procedures.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to a supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs, regularly.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or picking/packing role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and the use of PPE.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics is a plus.
- Willingness to follow safety instructions and contribute to a safe work environment.
